Your privacy is important to us.

We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site (romitofoundation.org), especially when conducting business.This statement governs our, the Romito Foundation, privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site ("Visitors") who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site and make use of the various services offered by the Romito Foundation (collectively, "Services") ("Registered Clients").

"Personally Identifiable Information" refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, social security number, and credit card information.

Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?

  • We may collect basic user profile information from all of our Visitors that includes IP address and general geolocation data.
  • We collect and store information from our Registered Clients that may include names, addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and email addresses of Registered Clients, the nature and size of the business, and comments provided by the visitor.
  • We use any data collected from our e-newsletter component to assess the effectiveness of our correspondence and to customize the messages to our Registered Clients including IP address, email, and to track reader activity only pertaining to the delivered email (opened, forwarded, opted-out).

What organizations are collecting the information?

In addition to our direct collection of information, our third party service vendors (such as search engine indexers, site software providers, hosting company and webmaster) may collect this information from our Visitors and Registered Clients. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them from Visitors and Registered Clients. Some of these third parties may be intermediaries that act solely as links in the distribution chain, and do not store, retain, or use the information given to them. Links to each of those providers are available on this website as needed or accessed.

How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?

We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site, to make appropriate service offerings, and to fulfill buying and selling requests on the Site. We may email Visitors and Registered Clients about news, new services and industry updates published on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Registered Clients in response to specific inquiries, or to provide requested information.

This site employs automated e-Newsletter software. All data collected is stored securely in this site's database. No access is granted to any other third party entity for purposes of contact or collection. The e-Newsletter component offers and opt-out feature as well as double opt-in on subscription. We use any collected data to assess the effectiveness of our correspondence and to customize the messages to our Registered Clients.

With whom may the information may be shared?

Personally Identifiable Information about Registered Clients is never be shared with other Registered Clients unless that information was freely entered into a forum or other public venue created solely for interaction with other Visitors or Registered Clients. We may share aggregated, non-personal, information about our Visitors, including the demographics of our Visitors and Registered Clients, with our affiliated agencies and third party vendors. We also offer the opportunity to "opt out" of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.

How is Personally Identifiable Information stored?

Personally Identifiable Information collected by the Romito Foundation is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of the Romito Foundation except for use as indicated above.

What choices are available to Visitors regarding collection, use and distribution of the information?

Visitors and Registered Clients may opt out of receiving unsolicited information from or being contacted by us and/or our vendors and affiliated agencies by responding to emails as instructed, or by contacting us at privacy @ romitofoundation.org for European Union privacy rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation EU 2016/679) (also known as GDPR) and for California privacy rights under California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (also known as S.B. 27).
